The Small Business Council is a dedicated group of volunteers whose goal is to provide small businesses in Sandy Springs with the tools, training, information and support that empowers them to succeed; and to recognize those that are successful.

The Small Business Council is comprised of three committees:  Business Education and Training Committee, Business Development Committee and the Advocacy and Recognition Committee.  The three committees work together to provide community support by offering events and programs throughout the year that will educate, promote and honor small businesses in Sandy Springs.

The effors of our volunteers have made this initiative successful and beneficial to Sandy Springs and Perimeter businesses. Mission Statement:
To provide a forum for women in business to form relationships with their peers, provide an educational platform, give back to the community and be a source for professional women to be mentored. The Women's Business Network will focus on the areas of Networking, Community, Education and Mentorship.
 
Networking: We will have open networking before each event for 30 minutes. This will give everyone a chance to meet one another and start relationship building.
 
Community: The Women's Business Network sponsors The Drake House. To learn about volunteer opportunities with The Drake House click here. Programs/Education: Female chamber members are the primary speakers for Women's Business Network events. Input from chamber members is requested. If you would like to serve on the Women's Business Network's Program and Education Committee contact Karen Trylovich.
 
 Mentorship: The Mentorship Program is a subset of the Women's Business Network. The WBN looks for volunteers to mentor and be mentored. Woman of Distinction Award- The Women's Business Network will give out the Woman of Distinction Award during the chamber's November Bagels & Business meeting. The award will recognize a woman who has made a difference either in her profession or in the community.
