Students in the Dance Magnet at North Springs Charter High School proudly present PROJECT DANCE, their annual fall showcase of student choreography Friday and Saturday night, November 13-14 at 7 p.m. in the NSCHS theatre. The show features sophisticated original pieces and wide ranging dance styles with a special Friday performance by guest artists from Brenau University. Heritage Sandy Springs will host a Veterans Day Salute on Sunday, November 8 from 2-4 p.m. at Heritage Green. Lonesome Redwing will perform and following the concert, North Springs High School JROTC and Sandy Springs Masonic Lodge #124 will present the traditional color guard for all five branches of the military and remembrance for P.O.W's. The program is free and open to the public.

The City of Sandy Springs has prepared a Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development seeking a loan advance on future Community Development Block Grant allocations. The loan application will be submitted to HUD following a public comment period which will run from April 27-June 1. The City of Sandy Springs is now using two emergency notification systems. SWIFT 911 is a high-speed notification system that, in the event of an emergency, contacts every household either by phone, email, text or pager. The City is also registering residents into its CodeRed Weather Warning system.
