Each month, BizConnect will present an in-depth interview with a Chamber member for the purpose of learning about the people behind the company. Each program is approximately 8 minutes long and will showcase small, medium, and large companies.

Showcased businesses will remain online for 30 days, and the video will appear on the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber website, the featured company's website, and all social media platforms.

Community Involvement: Volunteering for Chamber committees gives members the opportunity to study community needs in-depth and find solutions to concerns in their community.

We've created several step-by-step guides to illustrate the key features of your ChamberMaster profile! Please note that the more complete your profile is, the easier it is for potential clients to find your listing in the directory.

 

 

General Profile Tips: This basic guide shows you how to navigate your new ChamberMaster profile to make sure that all of your basic information is correct. Learn how to change your Username or Password, link your social media profiles, and edit your company/organization information. This profile is how the Chamber creates the annual Guide to Sandy Springs, so it is very important that any changes made to your business information are changed on your profile in a timely fashion. Also included is information on Company Categories and adding a Membership Badge to your website. 

Completing Your Web ProfileOnce you navigate the basics, continue on to filling out your web profile with as much information as possible. This guide shows how to maximize your exposure to new customers by telling ChamberMaster as much as you can! The information you input in this section determines how much information displays in your company profile on our website and how the search function of the Member Directory finds you. 

Add an Event: You're ready to add an upcoming event! Use this guide to learn how to get your event on our calendar with all the necessary information. Events are pushed to our online calendar, to Twitter, and are included in Community Newsletters.

Add a Hot Deal or Member-to-Member Deal: One of the benefits of being a member is taking advantage of discounts offered by other members! Use this guide to add Hot Deals and/or Member-to-Member Deals to ChamberMaster. New deals are automatically pushed to Twitter and are also included in our Chamber newsletter.

Recognizing the importance of an adequately trained, skilled workforce to the long-term economic vitality and growth of the community, the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber convened the Workforce Development Council. Based on research and roundtable discussions, the Chamber has selected several initiatives that will have a direct positive impact on the preparedness of our students.

 

Mission Statement: 

To facilitate the establishment of partnerships between businesses, community organizations, educators, and students to ensure a qualified workforce for the Sandy Springs Perimeter region.

 

Areas of Focus

- Internships / Mentorships
- Providing students with interactive opportunities with business role models through classroom speakers, job shadows, mini-case studies, paid and unpaid internships
- Working with the Workforce Development Council on programs such as Lunch with a Leader, Business Bridge, and Reading Buddies
- Partnerships with Schools
- Bringing business and schools together through programs such as Principal for a Day, participation on advisory committees and councils, providing in-kind donations

 

Pathways:

  • - Career clusters preparing students for college and career readiness
  • - Providing technical assistance in terms of talent and resources to enhance curriculum offerings and ensure that educators are aware of the most current practices in their fields
  • - Post-Secondary collaboration and relationships with secondary schools
  • - Providing expanded opportunities for supporting and promoting our post-secondary institutions located in our community, encouraging collaboration among those institutions and with our secondary schools.
  • - The Council meets on an as-needed basis, with partnerships/programs in the schools going on daily.
